Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TOPIKly (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use TOPIKly through our website, web app, or mobile applications.

2. Service Description

TOPIKly is a Korean language exam preparation and study support platform. The Service helps users prepare for:

• TOPIK I (Levels 1-2)
• TOPIK II (Levels 3-6)
• EPS-TOPIK (Employment Permit System)
• KIIP (Korea Immigration & Integration Program)

TOPIKly provides practice questions, AI-powered study recommendations, progress tracking, and learning tools. The Service interface is available in 19 languages to support learners worldwide.

3. User Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use the Service.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• Each user may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to abuse the Service is prohibited.

4. Subscription and Billing

• Plans: TOPIKly offers Standard and Pro subscriptions, each available with a monthly or yearly billing period.
• Pricing: The price of each plan is shown at the point of purchase, before you confirm. Prices vary by country and by the platform you purchase on.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Purchases made in the iOS app: Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
• Purchases made in the Android app: Payment is charged to your Google Account and can be managed or cancelled in Google Play subscription settings.
• Purchases made on our website: Payment is processed by Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record for those transactions.
• Price changes: We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of any price changes.
• Failed payments: If a payment fails, your access to paid features may be suspended until payment is resolved.

5. Free and Paid Plans

Free:

• Up to 10 practice questions per day
• Basic results and progress tracking

Standard and Pro:

• Unlimited practice questions
• Textbook-linked question sets and the AI study loop
• AI writing feedback and detailed explanations

TOPIKly does not display advertisements on any plan. We may run promotional periods during which paid features are made available at no cost; such periods do not create an ongoing entitlement and may end at any time with notice in the app.

6. Acceptable Use

When using TOPIKly, you agree NOT to:

• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute learning content without authorization
• Manipulate accounts, scores, or rankings through fraudulent means
• Harass, abuse, or use offensive language toward other users
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the Service

Violation of these rules may result in suspension or termination of your account.

7. Intellectual Property

• All content, design, code, and logos on TOPIKly are owned by TOPIKly and protected by intellectual property laws.
• Learning data you create (such as your answers and notes) remains your property.
• We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal study purposes only.

8. User-Generated Content

• You may create content such as nicknames, profile information, and learning records.
• You are responsible for the content you submit and must ensure it does not violate any laws or these Terms.
• TOPIKly reserves the right to remove any content that is unsafe, offensive, or inappropriate.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

• The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.
• TOPIKly is a study tool and does not guarantee that you will pass any TOPIK or other exam.
• We are not liable for damages resulting from service interruptions or unavailability.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to TOPIKly in the preceding 12 months.

10. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Delete Account.
• TOPIKly reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
• For refunds upon termination, please refer to our Refund Policy.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
• Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seoul Central District Court.
• We encourage amicable resolution of disputes through good-faith negotiation before pursuing legal action.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
