Official TOPIK past papers are free to download from topik.go.kr. But not every test is released: NIIED, the institute that runs TOPIK, publishes only one test per year. So far 12 tests are public, from the 35th to the 102nd (as of September 2026). The newest is the 102nd TOPIK (2025), posted on 25 March 2026.

- - Nothing was released for 2020 or 2021 — the list jumps from the 64th to the 83rd.
- - All of them are paper tests (PBT). No computer-based (IBT) test has been released.
- - The release date changes every year: the 96th came out on 7 May 2025, the 102nd on 25 March 2026. One of the 2026 tests (104th–109th) will probably be released in 2027, but NIIED does not say which one in advance.
Two ways to get them
1. Solve them on the site — «토픽 기출문제 풀어보기»
topik.go.kr → 학습하기 (Study) → 토픽 기출문제 풀어보기 (Try past TOPIK tests). Each test has TOPIK I and TOPIK II listening (듣기) and reading (읽기). Press «문제 풀기» and it opens in a new window, with audio for listening.
2. Download the PDFs — «학습 자료실» (study materials)
topik.go.kr → 학습하기 → 학습 자료실, then open a post such as «2025년도 제102회 TOPIK II 기출문항». The 102nd TOPIK II post includes:
- - the question booklets: session 1 (listening and writing) and session 2 (reading), PDF
- - the answer key and score sheet (정답 및 배점표), PDF
- - the listening audio (zip)
Writing is not in the on-screen version, so download the PDF to practise questions 51–54. The notice «쓰기 답안 작성 방법» in the same section explains how writing is scored.
Be careful: people selling “new” TOPIK papers
The front page of topik.go.kr states that exam questions are kept confidential. Social-media ads that promise «question leaks» or «guaranteed pass» for money are illegal, and impersonation or leaking questions leads to a ban from the test and a criminal complaint. If a paper is not on the official site, don’t trust it.
Released papers are also copyrighted. The official notice forbids copying or redistributing them without permission and using them commercially — download them from the official site.
Which order to solve them in
Twelve tests may sound like few, but one TOPIK II test has 104 questions — that is plenty of material.
- Save the four newest (83rd, 91st, 96th, 102nd) for full mock exams. NIIED announced a revised test framework and question wording in 2021, so tests from 2022 on are closest to today’s exam.
- Use the 35th–64th for practice by question type — split listening and reading into blocks of question numbers.
- Time yourself. TOPIK I: listening 40 min + reading 60 min. TOPIK II: session 1 is 110 min (listening 60 + writing 50), session 2 is reading, 70 min.
- Mark with the answer key, add up your points and compare with the table below.
Using past papers for your target level
Your level is set by your total score; there is no minimum per section.

Level 2 (TOPIK I, 140 points)
You need 70% of the total — higher than most people expect. After each paper, list the words from the questions you missed: TOPIK I uses short texts, so one unknown word often costs the whole question.
Level 3 (TOPIK II, 120 points)
That is 40% of the total. Get the short listening and reading questions right (each section is worth 100) and pick up partial points on writing 51 and 52 (10 points each). Try solving only 51–52 from several papers in a row: TOPIK Writing 51–52.
Level 4 (150 points)
Only 30 points above level 3, but the hardest step. Writing 53 (30 points) usually decides it — describe each paper’s chart or diagram in 200–300 characters. In reading, check that you still have time for the long texts at the end.
Levels 5–6 (190 and 230 points)
Writing 54 (50 points) and the long texts at the end of listening and reading decide your level. Take the four newest tests under time and record each section’s score. Level 6 needs 77% — a few mistakes change the result.

Do the past papers come with explanations?
